• The Rangers selected the following players in
  the Rule 5 draft and they were added to the 40 man roster:  IF Marshall
  McDougall (Cleveland) & LHP John Koronka (Cincinnati)

• The following players not offered arbitration,
  and are now Ex-Rangers: C Ivan Rodriguez, P Kenny Rogers, OF Todd
  Hollandsworth, P Rich Rodriguez.

• P Aaron Myette & 1B Travis Hafner traded to
  Cleveland Indians for P Ryan Drese & C Einar Diaz.
• P Rudy Seanez signed to a 1 year AAA contract
  with an invite to Spring Training.

• The following four players moved from the 60
  day DL to the active 40 man roster: P Jovanny Cedeno, P Jeff Zimmerman, IF/OF
  Frank Catalanotto, & OF Rusty Greer.

• P Juan Alvarez released.

• The following players signed to 1 year AAA
  contracts and invited to spring training: P C.J. Nitkowski, P Ray Beasley

• P Hideki Irabu placed on irrevocable waivers
  for the purpose of giving him his unconditional release.
• The following players were given one year AAA
  contracts, and invited to spring training: RHP Robert Ellis, Rosman Garcia,
  Victor Santos.  LHP Ron Mahay & Brian Shouse  C Danny Ardoin &
  Fernando Lunar plus IF/OF Donnie Sadler.

• The 2003 Coaching Staff announced: MGR Buck
  Showalter, Pitching Coach Orel Hershisher, Bullpen Coach Mark Connor, Hitting
  Coach Rudy Jaramillo, Bench Coach Don Wakamatsu, Third Base Coach Steve Smith,
  First Base Coach DeMarlo Hale.
