G95: Feldman surprises; BoSox bombed 9-1

Posted by Joe Siegler on July 23, 2012 at 10:20 pm http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2012_07_23_bosmlb_texmlb_1&mode=wrap>MLB.com Recap

I’ve decided that I’m going to start redoing current game updates. Still dictating from my iPad, but I will stay current and then fill in the missing months as I go along.

After his last attempt at starting had failed miserably this year I don’t think any Rangers fan wanted to see Scott Feldman as a starting pitcher in a Rangers game. Yet, that’s where we found ourselves on Monday. We’ve had some problems with the starting rotation recently. The most recent one was Colby Lewis being out for the year. And that’s pretty much why Scott Feldman was starting this game.

Colby Lewis BACK to DL

Posted by Joe Siegler on July 23, 2012 at 6:25 pm

  • P Colby Lewis placed on 15 Day DL, retro to last Thursday
  • P Martin Perez (#33) recalled from AAA [ Link ]

NOTES: Remember that transaction a few days ago?  Forget it.  Colby’s back to DL, and this time, he’s not coming back.  He’s out for the year.  Bummer.

Josh Hamilton

Is it just me or has Josh Hamilton’s swing lately been looking like Chris Davis’ gigantic wheelhouse swing? Not liking that.

I’m still here

Posted by Joe Siegler on July 16, 2012 at 10:46 am

In the last two weeks I’ve come down with a pulled muscle in my neck that is made more painful if I do things that involve my hands.  Such as typing for any length of time, and playing videogames.   That’s why I’ve disappeared.  When this clears up, I’ll play catch up, but I didn’t want people to think I’ve abandoned ship.

Posted by Joe Siegler on July 7, 2012 at 6:15 pm

  • P Derek Holland activated from DL
  • P Justin Grimm optioned to AA Frisco [ Link ]

NOTES: No surprise, we knew Holland was coming back, and I didn’t think Grimm was a realistic long term option right now, despite his first start.

G76: Rangers win slugfest, 13-9

Posted by Joe Siegler on June 27, 2012 at 2:45 pm

Ah yes, another one of those lovely well pitched games where the box score shows you have 22 runs and 34 hits. That means there will be not much good to write about pitching wise. But I might try and find something anyway.

About Site

This is a Texas Rangers fan site run by Joe Siegler. From 1999 through 2013 I used to do daily game updates, but got burnt out on that and stopped.

The site lives on as my favorite section to update I’m still very interested in. That is the Uniform Number history pages, which I’m quite proud of. Plus Ill write the odd article here and there.

I mostly spend my time in this Facebook group talking about the Rangers these days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.
