2004 TV Schedule Posted

Posted by Joe Siegler on February 12, 2004 at 3:45 pm

  • Well, that was quick.  Right
after I posted this morning about finding the 2004 TV schedule, I found it
right away.  I’ve now updated my 2004
    Schedule Pages
    with the information.

  • Indeed, there are 7 games that are
listed as "TBA", and with the announcement that 155 Ranger games will be
carried on TV this year, instead of the usual 162, the 7 I found with no
listed TV info would match up with that.  The 7 dates are May 2, May 22,
Jun 26, Sep 12, Sep 19, Sep 23, Oct 2.   However, some of these are
also scheduled national games.  May 2nd is an ESPN game and May 22nd is a
Fox Saturday Game of the Week.  The remaining 5 games are not scheduled,
and I find it odd that 4 of those 5 are all in September.

Spring Training Scheduled Posted

Posted by Joe Siegler on February 9, 2004 at 3:45 pm

  • I just noticed that the spring
training broadcast schedule has been posted, so I’ve updated my
2004 Spring Training Schedule page with
that info.  Two spring training games are on TV this year.  Wish
    there’d be more, though.  :)

Arod gets his MVP award

Posted by Joe Siegler on January 26, 2004 at 3:45 pm

  • Yesterday Arod got his MVP award
in New York, and at the same time had a "summit meeting" (the press’ words)
with Ranger management; all the problems appear to have been worked out.
At the same time, the Rangers named Arod team captain – something that only
happened briefly once before in the past.
    Details & discussions here.

  • I’ve also started working on
bringing my roster pages up to date with proper links and whatnot.
Should be done soon.  However, as with past years, I won’t add roster
pages for players I’m not sure will be here come the start of the season.
That, and I need the new version of the media guide to grab the info from.
    :)

  • Hicks now says that this report is
inaccurate and has denied talks.  MY HEAD HURTS!

  • It was reported today that the
Arod trade talks with Boston are back on.  What a shocker.
    Discuss it here.
ESPN’s site is running a new poll about the Arod trade talks –

Kolb up

Posted by Joe Siegler on August 19, 2001 at 3:31 pm

Danny Kolb was called up from AAA after Saturday night’s game. Why we didn’t dump Pat Mahomes at the same time, I don’t know.

Good & Bad in July

Posted by Joe Siegler on July 27, 2001 at 3:23 pm

Hey – some cool stuff last night! A home run by Cal in his last at bat in Texas (kudos to the woman who caught the ball and isn’t selling it).. The first four game home sweep EVER at TBIA.. Our first four game winning streak of the season.. Happened with a 9-7 win last night.
However, it wasn’t all good – Ruben Sierra hurt himself, and has to go on the DL. Details.

About Site

This is a Texas Rangers fan site run by Joe Siegler. From 1999 through 2013 I used to do daily game updates, but got burnt out on that and stopped.

The site lives on as my favorite section to update I’m still very interested in. That is the Uniform Number history pages, which I’m quite proud of. Plus Ill write the odd article here and there.

I mostly spend my time in this Facebook group talking about the Rangers these days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.
