Normally I’m not a huge Tom Grieve/Josh Lewin fan, but Tom said it best at the end of the game…that if the game is close, the batter is battling, the pitcher is struggling, and you’re at the end of the game, you don’t give the game away on a borderline call. You give the batter the benefit of the doubt.
Ron Washington was ever the diplomat in the pre-game for Saturday’s game…but I know the whole team had to be pretty disappointed. It was just a screwed-up game all the way around.
