G31: Rangers pull out a tight one against KC, 3-2

Posted by Joe Siegler on May 11, 2010 at 4:21 pm http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2010_05_08_kcamlb_texmlb_1&mode=wrap>MLB.com Recap

Six singles is all the Rangers got. Elvis, Hamilton, Guerrero, two by Kinsler, and one by Murphy. That’s all we had. But they were bunched together enough to plate three runs, which was just enough to squeeze by the Royals.
Rich Harden was out of Oakland, so he was the regular Harden again. 5 innings, six hits, two walks, and 95 pitches. Not that great. I wonder, given the way some of our roster spots are being passed around if Harden might get dumped if he doesn’t get his shit together before too long. One gets the impression he’ll get replaced by someone else (oh, I don’t know – Ogando or Scheppers) before too long.
Royals starter Gil Meche pitched an 8 inning complete game loss. He gave up the three earned runs, which isn’t bat all over 8 innings, really. Just that the Rangers held down the Royals (which isn’t too terribly hard) for scoring any more.
Was a nice game, but Harden’s performance seemed even more flat than it was due to the performance of CJ Wilson the night before.

About Site

This is a Texas Rangers fan site run by Joe Siegler. From 1999 through 2013 I used to do daily game updates, but got burnt out on that and stopped.

The site lives on as my favorite section to update I’m still very interested in. That is the Uniform Number history pages, which I’m quite proud of. Plus Ill write the odd article here and there.

I mostly spend my time in this Facebook group talking about the Rangers these days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.
