Philly in the World Series

Posted by Joe Siegler on October 16, 2008 at 3:09 am

My Phillies are going to the World Series! I’ve been doing this Rangers since since December of 1998, so you know I follow the Rangers, but I grew up in Philly. So it’s pretty cool my “other” (or original) team is going to the World Series. I got my HDTV at the right time! :)
However, I won’t be watching Game 1 next Wednesday – I’ll be in a hospital bed. I’m having surgery to remove a bone cyst in my left leg next Wednesday morning. I’ll probably be too drugged up to be able to watch the game, unfortunately.
Nobody tell me what happens. :)

Glad to hear your Phillies made it in, along with at least one former Ranger. Sorry to hear about your hospital stay. I was in last week as well. I had a lymph node, in my neck, removed. It was the size of a large lemon, or a small computer mouse. Hope all goes well.

Will be thinking about you on Wednesday.
Don’t know if I will get a chance to see the game on Wednesday, but
if I do, I will take notes for you……….especially re Stairs!

About Site

This is a Texas Rangers fan site run by Joe Siegler. From 1999 through 2013 I used to do daily game updates, but got burnt out on that and stopped.

The site lives on as my favorite section to update I’m still very interested in. That is the Uniform Number history pages, which I’m quite proud of. Plus Ill write the odd article here and there.

I mostly spend my time in this Facebook group talking about the Rangers these days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.
