Rangers Winter Carnival

Posted by Joe Siegler on January 15, 2008 at 9:43 am

The annual Rangers Winter Carnival is on Saturday the 26th from 9AM to 5PM.
However, I have another personal obligation that day, and cannot attend. I have a free ticket for it that was sent to me by the Rangers which I cannot use. I’m therefore sticking it up here. First person who emails me and asks for it will get it.
All I ask is this. Please don’t email me unless you’re actually going. I’d want this to really be USED, not “I might just go”. Please don’t ask unless you’re honest to God planning to go.
It’s also good for $5 admission for others in your party (so says the letter that came with it).

Sent you an e-mail – I have 16- & 14-year old sons who would love to go to a sTRangers’ event. My older son has been to 3 sTRangers’ games in 3 different seasons and it turned out Darren Oliver was pitching each time… they lost each time with my then very young son shouting “Throw Strikes, Darren Oliver!!!” in vain… poor fella never could trust his stuff.
I have been listening to sTRangers’ games and watching them on TV (when possible) since their first season (1972) in Texas. They were on WBAP 820 for years and it was the only station I could get that carried them where I could get them out just northeast of Lubbock, TX. I have a lot of stories.

About Site

This is a Texas Rangers fan site run by Joe Siegler. From 1999 through 2013 I used to do daily game updates, but got burnt out on that and stopped.

The site lives on as my favorite section to update I’m still very interested in. That is the Uniform Number history pages, which I’m quite proud of. Plus Ill write the odd article here and there.

I mostly spend my time in this Facebook group talking about the Rangers these days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.
