Box Scores

Posted by Joe Siegler on April 7, 2006 at 1:05 pm

Does anyone know a place left that still publishes current text only box scores? Everyone wants to “fancy up” the box scores with their own version of “let’s put graphics in the box score”. Does anyone know of a site that publishes pure text based box scores like this? Thnanks.

Elaine, do you have a link? Before I posted that, I hit all the major news sites, and no one has pure text box scores anymore. If there is a place inside si’s site for that, please give me an absolute URL.
The only box scores I can find there look like this:
    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/boxscores/2006/04/04/13371_boxscore.html

this kinda sorta not really relates to your question…
i’m watching the rangers and i’m thinking to myself, “wow, our team RISP has got to be in the .100’s!” so i go to the computer to look it up…and i can’t find it, anywhere…mlb.com and espn.com doesnt have that as a team stat…or as a player stat for that matter
    what gives?

About Site

This is a Texas Rangers fan site run by Joe Siegler. From 1999 through 2013 I used to do daily game updates, but got burnt out on that and stopped.

The site lives on as my favorite section to update I’m still very interested in. That is the Uniform Number history pages, which I’m quite proud of. Plus Ill write the odd article here and there.

I mostly spend my time in this Facebook group talking about the Rangers these days.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line.
