Commentary (by me)

Another game that isn't on the radio.   Didn't get a chance to post this game the day it was played, so I don't have anything to say about it.  Was nice to see a win though.  Three straight games with runs over 10.  That's nice, but I'd like to see the runs given up go down.

Game Recap

BRADENTON, FLORIDA (TICKER) -- Greg Zaun had three hits and three RBI and the Texas Rangers took advantage of six errors by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 10-6 spring victory.

Zaun hit a solo homer in off Kris Benson in the sixth. Texas scored six runs in the seventh off Scott Sauerbeck, who was charged with three unearned runs. Ruben Mateo also homered for the Rangers, who collected 12 hits off five pitchers.

The winner was Mike Munoz, who retired the only batter he faced to end the sixth. Starter Aaron Sele allowed one run in three innings and former Pirate Esteban Loaiza was roughed up for two runs and five hits in 2 2/3 innings.

Kevin Young, Doug Strange and Pat Meares each had two hits and drove in a run for the Pirates. Right fielder Alex Hernandez committed two errors.

Pittsburgh starter Francisco Cordova allowed two runs, three hits and three walks in four innings.
