I thought Beimel had been picked up recently or was at least in discussion with a team pretty strong.
Mahay would be okay, but with Oliver, Snyder, already around and with an option to use guys like Harrison, Holland, Kiker, Kirkman, and Rapada, I imagine they probably feel like they have enough lefties.

haven't been on in a few days but came across this thread....the last dozen or so posts here are about Mark..I've been arguing with this guy for more than a decade..on 3 different boards..so I have a different perspective...here goes
1. What other poster would engender so much discussion?
2. Like the guy or not , he has a point of view, one most of us here don't share but one just the same
3. Is the guy a disagreeable?...yes, but that's part of the fun
4. Is the guy an asshole?....no question
5. Some of you guys hate him...and believe me,no one understands why more than me..but it's a love/hate relationship wether you all want to admit it or not...
6. We are the skeptics...the frustrated..the impatient...sometimes it's fun to beat on the "happy people" who have no right to have a different point of view than us...Mark represents that...but he's been exiled (by our constant badgering) to a defunct board instead of posting here ..and..uh..giving us the oportunity to tell him he's wrong...
7. I'm for welcoming Mark back here (and we know he reads these posts here) to give us his "analysis" so we can have a more spirited discussion here...
8. It can get a bit old getting on here and thinking and saying.."yep, Jumangi, you're right"..or Element,Murph,KOG etc.
alot of Ranger fans are excited about this upcoming season...I got alot of doubts (as usual) myself and don't see this being a growth year but instead, a back slide year....

I rather like sparring with Mark and I feel sad so for him. He drives everything of topic and isnt very bright, but he does give you someone to fight with.
No offense, but all he did was tell everyone how wrong, delusional, a bunch sheep followers and bullshitters you all were. Plus as you said, he derailed almost every single thread, pissed people off & talked about or defended himself to the point that it was nauseating and redundant. Quite frankly it was annoying and once you get rid of a pissant poster, you should be happy for it.
There's a stupid dumbass teenager posting on my Scout board, and he befriends every annoying pissant that comes in including trolls. He also seems more obsessed with his total post count rather than actually putting a thought together; like he'll say one or two word fragments or just use an emoticon, and he has no real original thoughts & he's a complete bias homer. I really wish he'd go away or get banned, and I no control of the situation, no matter how big of an asshole I am. I really miss the board the way it was before this fucking teenager. He annoys the shit out of me.

Mmmmmm. And this kid makes it too easy to track down. He at times links to his Facebook, puts his full name, face, town, high school, videos and sometimes whereabouts right on the Scout board & Internet! He's also a Green Bay Packers fan so he'd be an easy target in the street.

LOL! I wish! I've been hinting to be a mod over there for over 8 years now, but the matter was politely dropped. I think the mods there think I'm a bit too Bill Hicks-ish / offensive? Hell most of the mods aren't around anyway. I tend to break rules on a daily basis... maybe I'm not good enough or something.
I also may have hinted I'd mod with extreme bias & abuse my powers (!) and rule with a heavy stick.

It appears to me that a lot of scout's baseball boards have gone to hell anyways. I talked to the Boston board's mod awhile back and it sounds like admins are content with it to just be ran down by dickheads that are mods. Worst thing they ever did was turn sites over to publishers that had never been a part of the boards, kind of like those two kids they handed the Rangers site over to. Look where it got them. One of them quit after several months of being a jackass, and now they are stuck with a fat fuck that ran all the good posters off and the board is a shell of it's former self. Nice.

I don't think the White Sox board members even bothers with insider stuff, and especially not for things Sox-related. The Tribune & Sun-Times puts all the stuff online free, there's basically two 24-hour-a-day sports radio stations, and with the oversaturation of media & multiple team-dedicated sites here, pretty much everything gets out somehow. I know if a Sox fan tries to post on the Cubs board, they immediately get banned, the Blackhawks board has no mods, the Bears board seems to be honestly modded but at a leisurely pace, and the Bulls board has a small but steady modded board.
Btw jumangi there's always unblock proxy sites if you ever need to check a site you can't access. I haven't tried it yet, but a friend recommended it & said this is what spammers used to get on his legit site: http://edilly.com/
