Looks like Blalock is tampa bound. Not a bad idea for him cause Pena will prob getting traded at the deadline. I could see him posting a 270-15-60 line in about 400 abs with tampa.

I heard its a minor league contract with an invite? I don't see him sticking. Pat Burrell is the DH and Blaloch scares the shit out me at first base.

But they prob are thinking so long to Pena at the deadline... He could fill in as dh if Burrelll moves to first or be a platoon 1st baseman (or their starting 1st) for half a season.

He's platooning with Burrell at the DH position. Blalock was signed for 925,000 with 300,000 additional dollars based in performance incentives.
