- Jerry is the brother of Scott Hairston, the son of Jerry Hairston Sr., the Grandson of Sammy Hairston, and the Nephew of Johnny Hairston. Quite the family. :)
- Jerry wore uniform number 25 from when he first came to the Rangers until August 5, 2007 when he switched to #3. Jarrod Saltamacchia (likely) convinved Hairston to give up 25, which was Salty’s preferred number.
